Do you live somewhere and very rarely spend time out at places of interest near to home?<br /><br />I've lived in Wales for about 7 years and never spent time walking the mountains. Isn't that crazy?<br /><br />I am only a few miles from the border of the beautiful Snowdonia national park so yesterday I changed all that. I went for a walk!<br /><br />Joined by three of my young friends we climbed a mountain called Meol Siabod. It took about 5 hours from start to finish but what a wonderful day we had. It only took about half an hour to drive from the fishery to the car park at the base of the mountain, on the A5 just before reaching Capel Curig. Then at first a gentle walk through the lower part, stopping to bath hot feet in two different lakes half way up. Then a very hard climb up a rocky ridge to reach the summit at 872m.
